We are delighted to announce a new post-16 programme in partnership with Ramsgate Football Club.
We will be continuing to run our programmes at both the Ursuline and St Georges, and will be adding an elite squad through our partnership with Ramsgate FC.
Ramsgate Football Club have a first team and under 23’s team that have a core of Thanet based players; the club aims to increase the number of local players in their senior squads. The aim of our Elite squad is to provide pathways for players from the area into the Ramsgate FC senior squads. Players who attend the scholarship programme will receive coaching that will help them develop as individuals to help prepare them for the potential step into senior football.
The Elite Squad will play in a similar style to the Ramsgate senior sides to allow for an easier transition, with the Elite squad overseen by our Director of Coaching Seb Tidey who also oversees the senior Football at Ramsgate Football Club. The Elite squad will form a key part in Ramsgate’s ambitions to develop more homegrown talent and will be constantly monitored by the first team and under 23’s management to provide pathways for players through to the first team.
Training for the Elite Squad will take place at the excellent facilities in the WW Martin Community Stadium, which will also be the venue for home fixtures.
Players who join our programme will attend either St Georges or Ursuline College, this means we can provide a high-quality education for all players who attend our programmes allowing them to choose either A-levels or vocational pathways.
